The Lanzarote collection was inspired by volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands - Lanzarote and Tenerife. Extravagant rocky formations are hidden in simple and minimalistic handmade, one of a kind vessels. Limited palette and combination of different stoneware clays are picturing a wide range of shades and colours of volcanic stones from sandy yellows, and greys to lava blacks and reds. The idea was to mimic the stone texture and shapes to bring a sense of the outdoors into contemporary interiors. How it is made:
The production process can take from a few days up to two weeks as it depends on the size of a vessel.
Each piece is handmade and absolutely unique. Made out of six types of stoneware clays, which gives them a natural look perfect for zen, rustic or spa interiors. The technique used to make these pieces is one of the oldest ways to make ceramics - pinching them from a single ball of clay. The vessels from this collection are single fired and partially glazed, which reduces the carbon footprint of the production but makes it more difficult as pieces can break easily during glazing and handling.
